Yiyi Tartare (b. 1982, Taiwan) is an artist based in Miaoli, Taiwan. She first showed her interest in art at a very young age. During her time at UNC Taiwan, she attended sketch classes in an art studio. After graduating in 2004, she entered the field of art media, starting as a junior editor at the institution, then progressing into a proud representative in Beijing and finally, the editor-in-chief, where she has interviewed and documented countless artists and exhibitions. Eventually, she founded her own art magazine, Focus Art.
After Yiyi closed the editorial chapter in her life, she picked up her paintbrushes once again and started her own artistic journey. After holding her first solo exhibition in 2022, she immediately received positive attention from overseas galleries. Since then, her works have found their places in the international art world.
