Kiki Lee graduated from the Fine Arts Department at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She explores the origin of group formation and how human nature affects group dynamics. She is puzzled by the contradiction of people enjoying solitude but needing social interaction, as well as the norm of entering a group, but not being able to stay for long. Therefore, she uses paintings to clarify and explore the relationship between the group and the individual, both closely and through a distant, and transcends boundaries. She believes that her paintings serve as a means of thinking, using colours to interpret the not-yet-fully-understood thoughts. It is painful and puzzling, but she has faith in the process of painting.
