Seefood Room is proud to announce the collabration and opening of Intimate Exposure: The Art of Araki an exceptional art exhibition showcasing the provocative and influential works of renowned Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. Running from November 1 to December 21 at the New Art Est-Ouest Auction (7/F H Queen's 80 Queen's Road Central Hong Kong), this exhibition offers a rare glimpse into Araki's multifaceted artistry. It features his striking original Polaroid photography, the first launch of his handcrafted wood furniture set collaboration, and exclusive limited edition merchandise.
The exhibition invites visitors to explore the intimate and often controversial themes that permeate Araki's work. His Polaroid images, celebrated for their raw emotion and captivating beauty. Complementing his iconic photographic works, the exhibition will also feature Araki's bespoke wood furniture sets in collaboration with ARTOX GROUP, reflecting his commitment to craftsmanship and design.
One of the exhibition's most captivating aspects will be the live Shibari performances, a traditional Japanese art of rope bondage performed by Hong Kong-based artists. The performances will create an immersive experience for the audience to deepen their understanding of intimacy and vulnerability in Araki's intricate artwork.
