Elaine Chiu, b.1996 in Hong Kong. Works and lives in Hong Kong. Elaine Chiu explores

communities and identities in urban environments through paintings, on-location sketching, and

performances. She attained a bachelor's degree from the Art History and Sociology Department

of the University of Hong Kong in 2018. She enlisted in Forbes 30 under 30 Asia in 2023 and was

selected for The 14th National Exhibition of Fine Arts, China, in 2024. Her paintings are in the

permanent collections of The University Museum and Art Gallery, The University of Hong Kong;

Pucheng Art Museum/ Fan Di’an Museum; K11 Art Foundation; Société Générale and Cathay

Pacific. Chung Hwa Publishing published her book “Before Memories Expire: Hong Kong Cityscape

Aesthetics and Impressions” in 2023.
