Liane Chu (b. 1997, Hong Kong) has been painting since the age of 2 since she embraces it as a channel for creative expression and emotional release. After completing her BA and MFA studies at City University of Hong Kong and the Central Academy of Fine Art Beijing, she moved to Beijing to continue her pursuit for art.

Chu is known for her works featuring an elegant fuse between Western and Chinese art. Her works, such as the Cackle Splash series, pay homage to her heritage through Western mediums like acrylic paint. Through her paintings, we see the world from a different perspective through a radiant spectrum of colours.
