Grace Bromley (b. 1994, USA) is a New York City based artist. Born and raised in Chicago, IL, she attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA and a focus in Painting. Her work explores feminine archetypes, weaving fantastical narratives with a sense of whimsy, surrealism and dark humor. Drawing from the influence of religious iconography, symbolism, fable, as well as folklore, she crafts her own cautionary tales, subverting ideas of what it means to be the hero or the damsel. She will begin pursuing an MFA at Virginia Commonwealth University in the fall of 2022.
