Georgian artist Salome Rigvava (b. 1988, Georgia) graduated with an MFA at the New York Academy of Art and she currently resides in New York, USA. Her works often focus on heavy cultural symbols and she explores her subject in terms that are deeply personal. The figures are often females caught in different degrees of awareness of themselves being painted. The tones are soft and beautiful, yet they simultaneously take on a hyper-saturated and dark quality that lends to the psychology.
